Directions to
Big Bear Lake

|
From the Greater
Los Angeles Area:
Take I-10 East to
the CA-30 West (Highland). From here, take CA-330 (Mountain
Resorts, Running Springs) to the town of Running Springs. Then take CA-18 towards
Big Bear
Lake. When you reach the dam of
Big Bear
Lake, continue on CA-18 (turning right) for
approximately 3 miles. Our check in office is located at 40393 Big Bear Blvd. (CA-18). We are on right side just beyond
the Alpine Slide play area but just before entering Village.

From the
San Diego area:
Take I-15 North to I-215 North. Then, take I-10 East to the
CA-30 West (Highland). From here,

From the Antelope Valley/High
Desert:
Take Pear Blossom Highway to the CA-18 East. Then, take I-15 South and
exit at Bear
Valley Road (Lucerne Valley). Turn left onto Bear Valley Road and take to the CA-18 and turn right. Follow the
signs up to Big Bear
Lake. When you get to Stanfield Cutoff, turn
left. Then, make a right onto Big Bear Blvd. and take all the way to Pine Knot Ave. and make left. Go through Village and
make a right onto Village Dr. Come out of the Village and we are about 1/4 mile on left at
40393 Big Bear Blvd.

Alternate(less busy)/Scenic Route:
From the
I-10 East, exit on Orange St. in
Redlands. Turn left onto
Orange St. and then right on Lagonia St. (CA-38)
and continue on until you come to Big Bear Blvd. Turn left onto Big Bear Blvd
and take all the way to Pine Knot Ave. and make left. Go through Village and
make a right onto Village Dr. Come out of the Village and we are about 1/4
mile on left at 40393 Big Bear Blvd.

From the
Las Vegas area:
Take I-15
South to the CA-247 in Barstow. Then take CA-18 in Lucerne Valley. Follow the signs up to Big Bear
Lake. When you get to Stanfield Cutoff, turn
left. Then, make a right onto Big Bear Blvd. and take all the way to Pine Knot Ave. and make left. Go through Village and
make a right onto Village Dr. Come out of the Village and we are about 1/4

A Few Thoughts About Mountain Travel:

ü
Always
carry tire chains whenever snow conditions may exist. (usually November
through April)
|
ü
Call
(800)427-ROAD for the latest mountain road conditions.
|
ü
Carry in
your car: a blanket, a shovel, extra water, a flashlight, and road flares. A
cell phone may be of assistance, but there are several "dead" spots
coming up the mountain.

ü
Never run
the air conditioner when coming up the mountain as your car could over heat.
|
ü
Avoid
crossing over the yellow dividing line. This is a major cause of mountain
road accidents. Also, avoid getting too close to yellow line and oncoming
drivers who cross line.

ü
Try not
to feed small children for several hours before traveling in the mountains to
avoid car sickness. The curvy roads often make children and adults nauseous.
